What to Include in Your Request

To process your deletion request quickly, please provide:

• Subject Line: "Data Deletion Request - Review Social"
• Shopify Store Domain: Your store's .myshopify.com URL
• Email Address: Email associated with your Shopify store
• Additional Info: Any other identifying information (optional)
• Confirmation: State that you want to permanently delete all data

What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon processing your request, we will permanently delete:

Store Information

• Store name, domain, and contact details
• Shopify access tokens (encrypted)
• Store settings and preferences

Review Data

• All review text and ratings received from Judge.me
• Review processing history
• Review metadata (timestamps, product associations)

Social Media Data

• Instagram connection details
• Access tokens (encrypted)
• Posted content history
• Generated images and captions

Usage Data

• Activity logs
• Analytics and statistics
• Error reports
• IP addresses (if stored)

What Data Is Retained

For legal and security purposes, we may retain for a limited time:

• Financial Records: Billing history (as required by tax law) - 7 years
• Legal Claims: Data related to ongoing disputes - until resolution
• Fraud Prevention: Anonymized security logs - 90 days
• Aggregated Analytics: Anonymized, non-identifiable statistics - indefinitely

Note: Retained data is anonymized and cannot be linked back to you.

Data Deletion Timeline

Once we receive your deletion request:

1. Confirmation Email: We'll send confirmation within 24 hours
2. Identity Verification: We may ask for verification to protect your data (1-2 business days)
3. Processing: Deletion begins immediately after verification
4. Completion: Full deletion completed within 48 hours
5. Confirmation: Final confirmation email sent when complete

Third-Party Services

Review Social integrates with external services. Data deletion from these services:

Instagram/Facebook

We delete our stored Instagram tokens and connection data. However:

• Posts already published to your Instagram remain (you control those)
• Instagram/Meta retains data per their own policies
• To delete from Instagram: Visit Instagram → Settings → Security → Apps → Remove Review Social

Shopify

Shopify retains basic app installation logs per their policies. We cannot delete data stored by Shopify.

Judge.me

Review data in Judge.me is controlled by you and Judge.me's policies. We only delete our copies.

Nanobanan (AI Service)

AI-generated images are deleted from our servers. Nanobanan may retain processing logs per their policies (typically 30 days).

GDPR Rights (EU Users)

If you're in the EU, in addition to deletion, you have rights to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
• Portability: Receive data in a portable format
• Restriction: Limit how we process your data
• Objection: Object to certain processing

CCPA Rights (California Users)

California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected
• Know if personal information is sold or disclosed
• Opt-out of the sale of personal information (we don't sell data)

• customers/redact - Handles customer data deletion
• shop/redact - Handles shop data deletion after uninstall

These webhooks ensure automatic compliance with Shopify's data protection requirements.
